Escalator Steps

Escalator steps are the moving components of an escalator that passengers stand on and ride as the escalator moves.

The steps are typically made of durable materials like aluminum or stainless steel and feature a non-slip surface or pattern to provide traction for passengers. They are designed to move in a continuous loop, traveling up or down the escalator track as passengers step on and off.

Each escalator step is connected to a chain that moves it along the track. The chain is driven by a motor, which provides the power to move the steps. The steps are also equipped with rollers, which help to move them smoothly along the track and prevent wear and tear.

Escalator steps are an essential component of the escalator system, providing a safe and efficient way for passengers to move between floors in a building. Proper maintenance and upkeep of the steps are important to ensure their safe and reliable operation, as well as the overall safety of passengers using the escalator.
